We experience them daily. Rush hour traffic, illness, engine trouble, financial setbacks, a needy family member, rude customers, broken relationships, wayward children and even death. These have visited just about all of us in some capacity and feel like unwanted and undeserved interruptions. My Jewish Sandal

On one of my devotional reading from not so long ago, there is one phrase that got stuck on my mind ‘Jewish sandal’. It is based on Deuteronomy 29:5 The LORD says, “During the forty years that I led you through the wilderness, your clothes did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet.’ The Israelites lack of faith led to their 40 years of wandering in the desert. But still, God’s love and faithfulness to His people remained by providing their needs. The manna was good only for a day and usually spoils the next day but their clothing and sandal were meant to last the entire journey. Read more…
